Use Tea Tree Oil for Pimples

The following Everyday Savings Tip comes from, Carrie:

Instead of spending a lot of money on acne medications that have lots of chemicals in them which may or may not be safe, instead invest in one bottle of Tea Tree Oil. Use it topically on your pimples. It works as well or better than most OTC compounds and one bottle will last you almost forever as you just use a drop or two on your finger at a time. It will help prevent breakouts as well as heal them.

Tea tree oil is known for it's antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiseptic properties – try to find all of that in one other product, especially a natural one! Bonus, you can use it on multiple other skin issues such as scratches, itches, etc to speed healing. It has so many uses that once you've tried it, you'll love it, be healthier, and be saving money!

I just did a quick search on Amazon and there are many Tea Tree oil brands to choose from starting in price around $5. Have you tried this? What brand do you use? I'm going to buy some to give it a try!

  1. I don’t like the Now Foods just because the bottle doesn’t have the dripper insert in it so it’s really difficult to just get 1 drop out at a time & it tends to leak down the sides.
Also the book Clean House, Clean Planet by Karen Logan has lots of recipes & good tips for using the tea tree oil around the house for other things too.
