Soul Snack: Then Sings My Soul Saturday

Click here to read more on this Snack…Can you imagine getting just one touch – even one look – at our Savior? Christmas time really made me think about the crucifixion oddly enough. I thought about Jesus walking through the streets holding the cross he was about to die on. Getting scremed at, along with some who were surely crying in desperation for Him because they knew He was the Savior – they didn't know He would return so they probably felt hopeless.

People always talk about Thomas and his doubts. He walked with Jesus and he still doubted it was Him when He returned. Thomas saw the holes in Jesus' hands and that is when he believed it was Christ. We obviously will never experience His physical presence until we get to Heaven, but He is with us each day, touching our lives in some way, shape, or form. But, for me, I have to be really “read up” and “prayed up” to sense that touch or to “unleash his power.”

When we tell Him our troubles, we can touch Him – and He touches us. He is as real with our hearts as he was walking through the streets to his death, and to Thomas who wasn't sure what he was actually seeing. It's just having the faith to know that He will be there regardless of the circumstance.
