Soul Snack: Then Sings My Soul Saturday

I just loaded this song on my ipod for my regular fat burnin' routine. Well, I just keep hitting the repeat button as I'm sweating because the beat is GREAT and I love the message! Even though it's not a christian song, the message is one I can hold on to and run with (literally and figuratively)!

Do you have a pocket full of sunshine? When she sings “sun”shine or says “sun,” I'm thinking of the Son of the Heavens, Jesus! In the last part of the song, she sings, “the sun is on my side….I know I'll be alright…” Yeap, as long as the SON is on my side, I will be alright!

I hope you enjoy this song and definitely enjoy the many other songs listed at Amy's place! I so loving going over to hear some AMAZING music every Saturday!

Thanks Andrea…quite the snack.. for a fat burning routine…LOVE IT

I so enjoyed the Sonshine scene…
“take me away…my hiding place” is the line that stuck out to me!
And indeed Jesus is my Hiding Refuge..I liked the way you think and rewrote the song! Didn’t know it or the artist but it was definitely spiritually moving or at least your version…
I was doing the head bopping…you think I lost any weight? (lol) Be blessed…and thanks!

I love this song, the beat is divine. I especially liked your take on it – relacing “sun” with “Son”… I’ll have to load it on my mp3 player.
