Snack Time: Pro Football Hall of Fame

This weekend was quiet on mommy snacks because I was enjoying the weekend with our boys and some good friends. We visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame…we have 3 boys, what else needs to be said :-) …

I, of course, being the thrifty momma that I am, was able to get us a group discount since we had 12 paid admissions in our group (group rates are available right at 12 paid admissions and kids 5 and under are FREE so we got 3 kiddos in for FREE too). So, each family that went with us had 3 paid admissions – 2 adults and 1 child – we each paid $37 for our tickets (the regular rates are very reasonable too). Well, when we paid, the cashier gave us tickets for a return visit for FREE since they were doing some construction and had some dust…I didn't see anything…I will admit thought, I skimmed over the memorabilia quickly…football is not my thing unless my son is playing it. Either way, I'll take the FREE tickets!

This could be a day trip for you – it took us about 3 hours to tour the museum (it took us 3.5 hours to drive to the museum in Canton from Cincinnati, OH). We, however, did stay overnight so our kids could enjoy the indoor pool (and got a discounted rate at a hotel thanks to my Entertainment Book discount – it's paid for itself so many times over now) and we could have some fun with our friends. So, this trip was a reasonable weekend (budget-wise) with our family since our kids were on Spring Break and we weren't wanting to spend a lot of money…and the trip made it in our budget just before my cash-only diet for April – lucky boys!! Oh, and I forgot to tell you – our hotel included the Sunday paper in the price of our stay so I got a few papers (coupons) for FREE!

So, if you are planning a trip to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, go now (not sure when the FREE tickets will end, you can call and inquire) and you'll receive your tickets to be able to go again for FREE before 12/31/08!
