Save and Store Hygiene Products in Unusual Containers

The following Everyday Savings Tip comes from, Christy:

Because various shampoo, conditioner and body wash containers can be difficult for me to handle when they become slippery, soapy and wet. To help with this, I pour them into ketchup and mustard bottles that have ribbed sides. That way I can control how much product I am using.

The size of the bottles are easy for me to manage in the shower, they dispense with a squeeze and the caps are attached to the lid so I don't lose them. Even without my glasses I know that the red lid is shampoo and the yellow conditioner. I can also buy very large sizes to economize and cut down the number of my shopping trips.

I bought my “condiment” bottles at Meijer for $1 each, but you may find them even cheaper.

This is a great idea! Could be a fun and economical way to keep the kids' hygiene products filled up too!
