Save Items and Make Money for Schools!

The following Everyday Savings Tip comes from, Jaime:

In our day and age when almost every school district seems to be having budget problems, it helps to know that we can all do our part to help the schools earn a little bit of money back.

I save Box Tops, Campells labels and batties to name a few. I turn all of these into the school periodically as my little basket fills up. The schools turn these items in to the respective companies and then get money back from what they submit. I have read in the school newsletters that they have used the funds they got back to help buy books or office equipment.

It makes me feel good to know I helped to have a part in that! We're already paying for these items, we might as well take them off of the packages and make our savings go a little further.

We have talked about these programs in the past. Check out the posts for Box Tops for Education and Campbell's eLabels for Education to learn more about these programs!
