Rice Krispies Wreaths

These adorable Rice Krispies Christmas Wreaths are super easy to make, and perfect for a classroom holiday party! They only require a handful of ingredients and aren't too messy for the kids to do during a school party or to make themselves at home.

Rice Krispies Cookies Wreath Ingredients

Use our favorite long handle measuring spoons [2] to stir the Rice Krispies and marshmallows together without much mess!

Rice Krispies Cookies Wreath Directions

  1. In a large glass mixing bowl, combine your marshmallows and softened butter and heat for 1 to 2 minutes or until your marshmallows start to get soft and puffy.
  2. Use your 1/4 teaspoons measuring spoon [2] to mix in enough green food coloring to color your marshmallows green and stir well.
  3. Now mix in 3 cups of your Rice Krispies cereal, give it a quick stir with your tablespoon or large mixing spoon and mix in the other 3 cups.
  4. Scoop and press your red Rice Krispies into the bottom of a greased 9×13″  baking pan (I like to use a greased potato masher) and let set for about an hour.
  5. Use your larger scalloped cookie cutter [1] to cut out as many circles as you can and use your smaller one to cut out the center.
  6. While your marshmallows are still sticky, press several red M&M's all over the Rice Krispie Wreaths (if your having trouble with them sticking dip the back of the M&M's into some frosting or melted chocolate before you press them onto the wreath).

And that's it! I hope you and your family enjoy making these! I remember making them when I was in elementary school! This recipe truly stands the test of time and is one you will always come back to!
