Maximizing Purchases Through Gift Cards

The following Everyday Savings Tip comes from, Joel:

I purchase eBay gift cards at Smith's using my rewards credit card so I earn points that save me money on gas.  I use the eBay gift cards to purchase other gift cards (through Big Crumbs when available) at reduce prices through their auctions.  By doing this I can earn eBay bucks and a percentage back through Paypal's Pay Me Later.

I can then use those gift cards (Office Max is my favorite) to shop online through rewards sites for the things I need.  Following this process the rewards can really stack up – credit card rebates, gasoline discount, gift cards below face value, eBay bucks and reward site money.
