Marshmallow Ice Cream Cones Craft

This is our final week of the Summer Survival Kit! I hope you enjoyed this series. Honestly, I didn't get to all the crafts each week, but the ones I did do were great memories for my kids and I. I do plan on doing all of them but now I'll have extra time to fit them all in!

When we were on vacation, we stopped at a little dessert shop and got some Marshmallow Ice Cream Cones. I thought they were soooo good – the kids could have gone either way. So, I thought it would be a good way to end up this Summer Survival Kit by making some Marshmallow Ice Cream Cones! And, what's better than a craft you can actually eat??!! Here's all the edible ingredients you'll need:

  1. Mini Ice Cream Cones ($3)
  2. Marshmallows ($2)
  3. Bag of white chocolate chips ($3)
  4. Sprinkles (optional, but they are cute for color) ($2)

And, here's what we'll do with all that yummy stuff:

  1. Melt the white chocolate chips.
  2. Dip a marshmallow in the melted white chocolate.
  3. Roll the marshmallow in the sprinkles.
  4. Place the marshmallow on the cone. You can also add white icing to the inside of the cone if you want to ensure that marshmallow really stays on :-)
  5. Set the cone upright so the marshmallow dries in the cone and doesn't fall out.

When the cones dry in 2-4 hours you can enjoy your Marshmallow Ice Cream Cone with your crafty kiddos and be proud of all the crafts you've accomplished this summer!
