Fabric Display Cork Board DIY

Since Ella, is getting so big I wanted her to have a place to hang up her special momentos. A normal cork board just doesn't do it for me for her pretty little room. Why not wrap it in fabric!

Display Corkboard Supplies

:: Scissors
:: Cork board
:: Fabric
:: Stapler/Staple Gun

DIY Steps

{Step 1} Lay out your fabric with the cork board on top of it. Be sure there is plenty of fabric to cover the sides.

{Step 2} Start at one end and staple the fabric to the back of the board. Be sure to pull it nice and taught so no wrinkles are left.  At each end you may want folded them into each other to make a nice crease kind of like wrapping a present.

{Step 3} At each end you may want folded them into each other to make a nice crease kind of like wrapping a present.

{Step 4} Hang as desired.

Project Cost

I found the cork board for FREE on Freecycle.org. Great place for free stuff, however, you can find it for about $10 at Walmart or Target. Also, you could use your 40% off Coupon for Michaels, to save even more.

I used about a yard of leftover fabric from the corness over Ella's window. You can get a yard of fabric for about $2.49.  This should be plenty. Alternatively, you can also use a few handkerchiefs to give it an even more custom look!
