Diet & Fitness Snack: Fat Burnin’ Friday

This week was a non-event for me. I mean, I did get in my exercise and I did fairly well with my eating..and I lost no weight. But, I didn't gain either so I'm OK with it.

The one thing I noticed is on the days I run, my appetite is CRAZY! I know with running, you need more fuel to get you through so I wasn't surprised by it. I would be fine up until the evening and then it was a mad dash for the goodies! And, I didn't want healthy goodies either – bring on the chips, Little Debbie's (at least they were 100 calories and all), and soda (no Diet here).

I think a good tip is to listen to your body. My body was definitely hungry for that stuff so I gave in to it. All in all, I don't think it hurt me. Obviously, it didn't hurt on the scale but I need to focus more when that urge comes because it will definitely hurt me if I continue. Or, I need to pick up the right stuff to snack on. I did have an entire bowl fruit cut up and ready to eat, but I still wanted that salty/sweet!

Here's to a better week of eating and continuing my workouts with focus. I was excited to get back on the treadmill again – it feels so good after I'm done running!

How did you do this week? Please share your results and link up! I'm so excited to read your progress!

Aack! Can you delete my first Mr. Linky? I just copied and pasted, I have no idea why it doesn’t work!

I did alright this week. I was kind of like you. Instead of eating the healthy stuff, I wanted the sweet/salty as well. But, I did manage to stay away from it mostly, although I have to say I did give in somewhat. I’ve come to determine that it’s ok to have that stuff in moderation. If I deprive myself completely, I’ll end up going overboard and we DON’T want that!

So, I’m happy for you in maintaining!

I totally agree about listening to your body. I find that if I don’t allow myself a small amount of something I might be craving then I end up over doing it.

While trying to loose pregnancy weight, I discovered a free nutrition and exercise tracking tool. It has been really helpful for me. The company wellness360 gives users a share of their advertising money so I actually make a tiny bit every day. This isn’t much, but the real kicker is that you get a bonus if you help others get healthy too. Since you are already doing this, I thought I would share.
