Diet & Fitness Snack: Fat Burnin’ Friday

So, the holidays are over and the goodies are gone! Thank goodness!!! I'll just get right to the “meat” of it..haha, no pun intended! I maintained, which means I didn't lose the 2 pounds I gained two weeks ago. I think part of this is obviously all the extra “stuff” from parties and such. When there was a gathering, I would go snackin' on the unhealthy stuff. It's not bad, but definitely only allowed in moderation. Which brings me to what I wanted to share…

Always Have Healthy Snacks on Hand!

Obviously, a party situation is a little unique. You can't always just break out the Special K or Kashi bars in lieu of buffalo chicken dip (that is so good too). But, when you're driving to and from events, it doesn't hurt to have a snack handy to munch on before you get there. I'll admit, I didn't do this during the holidays this year. But, on a regular basis I always have a healthy snack in my purse so I can resist the temptation to run through a drive thru!

On the exercise front this week, I was bad too :-( I only did one short run but there was too much going on to get anything else in. I am definitely focused 110% next week because I need to drop these last 10 – sooner rather than later. Oh, it will happen soon too because I am so determined I can see the scale now!

    I think I might have to start to participate in this. I have a goal to get things back on target. I was close to maintaining from November – December, but now I need to get back into the mode of losing it. Making myself “weigh in” so to speak will give me some added motivation.

    I too am trying to loose those lovely unwanted extra pounds. I’d like to say it’s my baby fat from having kids but my babies are 14 and 18yrs old, so, that I guess can’t really fly anymore.

    So far, I am working on a healthy lifestyle that includes, cutting portions from any restaraunts in half. I ask for the box when I order. I cut and put in the box right away so as not to temp me. I also carry water with my everywhere and refill my container several times a day. I does make you fuller.

    I look forward to a lighter me in 2009. My son will graduate from high school in June and I really do not want to be the fattest mom out there.
