Diet & Fitness Snack: Fat Burnin’ Friday

Another week, another little bit of fat that was burnt off! Or not…for me anyway! I didn't lose anything this week :-( But, I was talking to hubby about the fact that I really wanted to be at goal this week (or possibly next) and now that won't happen. Well, actually, here's how that conversation went:

Me: “I was really hoping to be skinny by now…”
Pause…Pause…Pause!!!!
Me: “Um, this is when you're supposed to say, ‘Babe, you're already skinny'!”
Hubby: “I was just waiting because I knew you were gonna say I should have said that and then I could say I knew.”

Did ya catch that :-) The funny thing is I knew he was waiting to respond so I would say that and he could say he knew I would say that!! We've been together so long :-) But, he was very encouraging (as he always is) and assured me that the weight would come off soon because…

This is a lifestyle commitment!

I'm making changes that are going to last a lifetime! And, my lifestyle is changed and I'm committed to being successful! These changes aren't too dramatic (I mean, I'm still getting my ding dongs and all), but my exercise is definitely something I look forward to. Actually, if I don't get to go for my run, I just don't feel myself anymore. That means, this new ME can now call herself an athlete. Boo Yah!! Woot Woot!! Shazam!!

So, how did you do this week? Please do share! We all have weeks where we go up or down…or stay the same (like me), but at least we're trying to make our lives something better!!! That truly is the main goal in all of this!

    Yay!

Last night I was running. And it was hot and humis. And I felt like I was going soooo slow. And I rounded a corner and 2 little boys were playing outside. They started cheering for me and stood on the sidewalk with their hands out for high fives. It was so sweet, they didn’t care if I was on my first mile or 1ooth, I was “Runner Girl”

Great job on the 30 pounds you’ve lost so far! Keep at it and you’ll be at goal soon.

Way to go! I think weight loss/getting in shape should be looked at as a lifelong commitment not a diet. Keep up the great work! The 10 pounds will be gone just like the other 30!!
