Diet & Fitness Snack: Fat Burnin’ Friday

OK, so there is a very big day coming up that I cannot mention exactly because it's a terrible thing to say (and causes great emotional distress for me). The only thing I'll share is that it starts with a “3” and ends with a “0” so that's all the sharing on do on the “why” it's so emotional :-) But, because that day is about 6 weeks away (again, I'm getting nauseous and shaking my head in denial), I need to get serious about getting all this excess poundage off so I can be halfway OK with that dreaded date (I am being very ambiguous here, but I'm sure you can read between the lines :-). And, all that gloom and doom brings me to this…

Step It Up

I have been taking my exercise extremely serious, but not so much on the eating side. I just told my BFF the other day that she was a bad influence on me because we eat pizzas, whoopie pies (if you don't know what those are, you should never find out, especially if you're trying to lose weight), and our expensive coffees (but they are nonfat). We both have got to get serious about getting our weight off and being at our goal, we need a date that's doable and we need to be motivated to make it happen! So, I will be stepping up my healthy eating over the next 6 weeks because I want to be at my goal by then! To equate that into a SMART Goal, that means a weight-loss of 2 pounds a week is what it's gonna take!

And, on to the weight loss – apparently my stepping up this week worked! I lost 2 pounds. Now, I've got to go down from here…I have to because I want to get to my goal really badly! I think I got an extra shot of motivation for the loss this week so hopefully it sticks around!

So, do you wanna join in with me on my goal? Even if you don't have your goal weight to meet by then, you might have another goal – let me know what it is so we can root one another on!! And, always share your personal status of loss/gain with me too because I do enjoy reading your comments! You're like my “online” weight loss buddies – and motivation! Especially to be where Mrs. Bargain Hunting wife is! She ran a 5k in 25 minutes – YOU GO GIRL!!!

Stay strong with your fat burnin' this week!!!

    Thanks for the shout-out :)

I’m running a 5k tomorrow and entered the Athena category, its for woman over 140lbs. Yes, its the fatty group BUT the record time in that category is 37 minutes, sounds selfish but I’m looking forward to hopefully setting the record :)

I’m enjoyed exercise so much this summer. I haven’t really lost weight but I’ve really noticed more muscle tone and general well-being!

You can totally do your goal!!

Five full weeks working out today and no weight loss, oh well, no wieght gain either. I guess Richard is right when he keeps telling me that Ameristop ice cream DOES have calories. You do look awesome! Keep up the good work!

I did it! I reached my biggest goal today. I am under the 150 mark (better than it sounds, I am 5′ 10”). It has taken 8 months since I gave birth to my daughter to get back to where I started. Now I dont have far to go and am feeling inspired to keep going for those last few pounds!

Good luck Andrea, we all have faith in you!

Gin – you’re just one hot momma! If anyone can get to that goal, I know you can!!

Mrs. Bargain – I would be in that same category so I hope you set that record! I know you can (or probably already did since this is posted later). Let me know how it went!!

Angie – I will be right there beside ya helping along the way. We’ll have to get out and walk together or eat salads together :-)

Dawn – that’s right, girl, no weight gain either :-) Yeap, the best bet is to stay away from Ameristop!!! I still secretly think that Richard is gonna miss that booty when it’s gone :-)

Erin – you rock, girl!!! That is such a huge milestone. It seems like there are just certain numbers on the scales that will get you super pumped and inspired to keep going and that sounds like a great one for you! I wish ya the best of luck over the next 6 weeks – I know we can do it!!!
