Diet & Fitness Snack: Fat Burnin’ Friday

Wow – it's been 5 months almost to the date that I've begun my fitness journey (this time around, at least!). And, it has been very challenging and rewarding to see all my hard work and sweat (lots and lots of sweat) pay off! The tip I have this week is more of my perspective on a question I get a lot of…

Does it get any easier?

My immediate answer to this is yes…and no :-) I know, it's not really an answer then, now is it! But, my meaning in this is some days it is so hard for me to keep my endurance and motivation going when “life” consumes me. Then, there are other days when all I can think about is running and listening to my ipod! Those are the days I wish I could bottle and repeat again and again! Each day is different and it's not getting any easier for me…but, it's not hard either. So, my point is that once you make that step and get past those 14-21 days suggested to make a habit, you'll probably think it's easier…and before you know it – you will be lighter, fitter, and badunkadunkable (yeap – my word!).

And, unfortunately I'm not any lighter this week. Given the Memorial holiday, well, I went home and my mom's fried chicken and my mom-in-laws cooking got the best of me! It's OK, I'm back on track this week and hopeful that next week will yield me something. Either way, my exercise routine came easier for me this week, but it might not be next week.

So, let me know how you did! I love to read and hear others' successes or otherwise! Your comments are motivation for me and do make it easier for me to do what I do each week :-)

Yay!! I’m a runner too but not the kind you’d see in Runner’s World. I’m chubby and slow, but heck, I like pounding the pavement and getting sweaty. And competing in races, even if Grandma beats me. Right now I’m “training” for a 10k. Don’t ask me why, I practically die during 5ks.

From reading your blog, I wish we could be running partners:)

Thanks for stopping by! I’m debating on whether to do a 5k too but I think I’d really have to challenge my mind to do it! I’m gonna hop over to your blog to comment for a minute!
