Welcome WDTN Viewers!!! If you are new here then look around and you will find lots of ways to save on your everyday shopping. Today, Andrea and I talked about some ways to save when shopping at the Thrift Stores. During the segment, we were unable to share all of our best tips!

In the Miami Valley, we are very fortunate to have several great Thrift Stores.  Goodwill, Salvation Army, Valley Thrift, Village Thrift are the ones that come to mind and are very popular.

I have the best luck with Valley Thrift Store on Woodman Drive in Dayton.  They tend to have 50% discounts on holidays and I have seen the occasional coupon in the Dayton Daily News.  Every Monday is Customer Appreciation and you will receive 25% your entire purchase.  You have to love that!

Salvation Army near the Dayton Mall has 50% off any Item with the Color of the Day tag.  As you walk into the store, they will have what color tag that will be 50% off that day.  I bought some jeans for my son to take Youth Camp because I knew all of his clothes may not make it back home.  With the extra 50% off, they were so inexpensive it did not matter.

I have not seen the discounted colored tags at the Dayton Goodwill locations lately.  However, you can check out the Cincinnati Goodwill daily discount calendar if you want to make the trip.  I want to check out the new Lebanon Location very soon!

Which Thrift Stores do you like to shop? What do you like to shop for the most!
