Learning Tree Farm: Autumn Fest @ 9am-4pm

This is a great opportunity to visit the Learning Tree Farm for this free event.  You can see the entire schedule here but some of the highlights include:

  • Pony Rides
  • Face Painting
  • Birds of Prey Show
  • Guided tours through the woods
  • Tours of the Barn
  • Old-Fashion Demonstrations
  • Hayrides
  • Games

I have been wanting to go to the Learning Tree Farm with the boys.  This may be the perfect opportunity!

Marvin’s Organic Garden: Beekeeping and Honey Workshop

Michael’s: American Girl Event @10am-12pm

Attention American Girl Fans!  Come out to your local Michael’s Store to make a breakfast plate and Chef Hat for your American Girl doll.  This is a free event for ages 3 years and up and while supplies last.

Lowe’s Build & Grow: Firetruck @10am-12pm

Come out to Lowe’s to Build the Firetruck to go along with the Police Car from a few weeks ago.  You will want to register to ensure your store has a spot for your child.

All participants will receive goggles, apron, project themed patch and a certificate of merit upon completion of the project.

Montgomery County Fairgrounds: Faith & Friends Chocolate Fest, 10am-5pm

Who loves chocolate?  I do not think I would need much more to motivate me to come to this event.  Here are some things to look for while you are there:

  • Live Entertainment
  • Bounce House
  • Games
  • Prizes

Carriage Hill MetroPark:Country Fair @10am-5pm

This free event will turn back the hands of time to the late 1800′s to enjoy the Country Fair.  The event will be held Saturday and Sunday and will include the following fun activities for the whole family.  Here are some of the highlights from the weekend schedule:

  • Children’s Games
  • Cider Pressing
  • Sorghum Stripping
  • Rope Making
  • Historical Exhibits
  • Pumpkin Rolling Contest for Kids, Sat @12pm, Sun @12:30pm
  • Sack Race, Sat @1pm
  • Pumpkin Seed Spitting Contest, Sat & Sun @4pm

This sounds like a lot of fun for the entire family.  I think my boys would love the pumpkin seed spitting contest.  What would be your favorite activity at this event?

Lebanon: Country Applefest @10am-7pm

This free festival is held in historic, Downtown section of  Lebanon.  They will have live entertainment, homemade crafts and yummy food for purchase.  I love fall and apples so this would be a great place to kick off the first weekend of Fall.  You can find FAQ here.

Parking is available at the Municipal parking lots but is limited.  You can also park at Sweeney-Wallace Chrysler Dodge Jeep for a free shuttle.  It is located at the intersection of Main St. and West Street.
