Dayton Holiday Festival and Children’s Parade: November 26

I love the Christmas season and I especially love Christmas Trees and Lights.  If you missed the Greene last weekend, than here is your chance at another tree lighting.  This Friday, November 26 is Downtown Dayton's Annual Grande Illumination and Children's Parade. The event is Free and located in Courthouse Square at Third and Main St.  Festivities will begin at 4pm.

There is going to be so much to see and do.  It will be well worth the trip to Downtown Dayton.  I used to work Downtown and watch the Tree lighting from our office building.  I am excited to take the boys for all of the fun!
Some of the activities throughout the evening include:

  • Live Music Entertainment
  • Gingerbread Houses
  • Holiday Village where the Kids can call the Elves
  • Free Scavenger Hunt
  • Carnival Rides
  • The Tikes Shop
  • Horse Drawn Carriage Rides $1/person”
  • Holiday Train Display
  • Wonderland Windows

The Tree is lighting will begin at 7:45pm and the Holiday Children's Parade will immediately follow.  It will be filled with lots of lights which should put you in the Holiday Spirit.  Don't forget to grab your Free Magic Glasses to view the lighting and parade in a whole new way.  You can pick these up at 7:30 in Courthouse Square.

What are you looking forward to doing with your family? Please share in the comments below!
