Dayton Free Weekend Events: September 28-30, 2012

Here a few free fun events that will be happening here this weekend in the Dayton and surrounding areas.  I love this time of year for all the fall festivals!

 Saturday, September 29

Home Depot Kids Workshop: Firetruck @9am-12pm

Bring the kids to Home Depot to build their own firetruck.  Every participant will receive a kids sized orange apron, kit, and project themed pin.  You may want to come early to ensure your child’s spot!

Friends and Family Radio Chocolate Festival 10am-5pm

Who does not love Chocolate?  This event will be held at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds featuring all things Chocolate.  There will be children’s activities and entertainment throughout the day.  Also, there will be arts & Craft vendors as well.

Tipp City: Mum Festival @10am-9pm

This festival is located at Tipp City Park.  They will have entertainment, children’s activities, vendor booths and even a parade at 10am.  You can even adopt a mum from the Boy Scouts for $10.  I love to have a few potted mums on my porch for fall!

Historic Downtown Lebanon: Country Apple Fest @10am-7pm

Head on down to Lebanon for Apple Fest. There will be lots of vendors including Kelly Lane (one of my favorite shops), food, entertainment and more.  This is a very popular festival and one that you will not want to miss.

There is a free shuttle from Sweeney Chrysler Dodge Jeep to the festival area.  This event is held rain or shine!

Springboro Safety Expo @3pm-6pm

Bring the kids out to meet Police Officers, Fireman and members of the SWAT team.  Care Flight is also scheduled to land during the event.  There will be giveaways for bike helmets, Gun-lock, Child Ident-a-kit along with raffling off 6 bikes.  You can even take a tour of the holding cell which my boys would LOVE!

Sunday, September 30

Tipp City: Mum Festival @10am-9pm

This festival is located at Tipp City Park.  They will have entertainment, children’s activities, vendor booths and even a parade at 10am.  You can even adopt a mum from the Boy Scouts for $10.  I love to have a few potted mums on my porch for fall!
