Dayton Free Weekend Events: September 14-16, 2012

Here are some free events going on this weekend in the Dayton area.  I am excited to be participating the Air Force Half Marathon this weekend.

Friday, September 14

Downtown Dayton: Urban Nights @5pm-10pm

This event is held twice a year and will have a little something for everyone.  There will be music, dancing, and entertainment throughout the evening along with retail and dining discounts with Downtown businesses.

Also, watch people repel down the Key Bank building that have raised money for Big Brothers, Big Sisters.  Also, the Taste of the Miami Valley will be going on a Riverscape as well. Should be a fun night!

Xenia Community Festival @4pm-9pm

Saturday, September 15

Yellow Springs: Cyclops Festival @10am-7pm

There will be kids activities, art demos and tons of handmade vendors!  There will even be a Meet & Greet with Etsy. You can get a FREE Mohawk from Derailed Hair Salon, watch BMX/Skate Demos and more.  This looks like a lot of fun!

Young’s Dairy: Wool Gathering @10am-7pm

They will have llamas, alpacas, goats and rabbits.  You will be able to see how to shear, spin, and weave their coats for wool yarn.  Kids activities will be available along with many vendors.

Miamisburg Riverfront Park: Public Safety Night @5pm-8pm

The Miamisburg Police and Fire Departments will  have demonstrations along with vehicles on hand for the kids to check out.  Care Flight will be landing.

Preble County Pork Festival

Xenia Community Festival @9am-7pm

Sunday, September 16
