Dayton Free Weekend Events | Sept 2-5

Here a few things you can do for free this holiday weekend!

Friday, Sept 2

Downtown Dayton: First Friday, 5pm-7:30pm

Come downtown for the last Free Concert of the Season at Riverscape. You can also check out local Downtown businesses and art hop.  You will also find a dance performance with paint, a community art project, and More.  Check it out!

Saturday, Sept 3

Home Depot Kids Workshop: ESPN College Game Day Board, 9am-12pm

Are you ready to pick your play?  If so, bring the kids out to make their very own Game Day Board.  I know my football players will love this one!

All Participants will receive a kit, kid-sized apron, and an achievement pin.  It is recommended for kids ages  5-12 years old and you will want to get their early to ensure you will get a kit.

Michael’s Stores: Grandparents Day Card Event, 10am-12pm

Bring the kids out to create a card for their special Grandparents.  This will be a great way to let them know how much they are loved and appreciated.  It is recommended for kids ages 3 and up. Come early because it is while supplies last!

Carriage Hill MetroPark:Draft Horse Days, 10am-5pm

Come out to Carriage Hill to watch demonstrations highlighting the skills needed to drive draft horses.  You will be able to watch the United States Plowing Contest for the best Plow Hand.

Sunday, Sept 4

Carriage Hill MetroPark:Draft Horse Days, 10am-5pm

Kettering Holiday at Home: Lincoln Park and Government Center, 10am-6pm

Come out to Kettering for their Annual Holiday at Home this weekend.  They will have lots of vendors, Arts & Crafts, Kid’s Zone, Entertainment and an Antique Truck Show.

Monday, Sept 5

Kettering Holiday at Home Parade, 10am-12pm

It is time for the 53rd Annual Holiday at Home Parade.  The route will be from Far Hills Ave, Stroop Rd to Rockhill.  This is sure to be a family favorite with over 130 participants in the parade. You can check still head down to the Lincoln Park Commons and Government Center for Vendors, Kid’s Zone, Entertainment, Auto Show and More!
