Dayton Free Weekend Events: June 22-24, 2012

Here are some free events and activities that you can do this weekend!

Friday, June 22

Vandalia Movies in the Park: Hugo @9:15

Bring the whole family out to Seger Park in Vandalia for a Free Movie in the Park.  Tonight, you can see Hugo and it will begin at 9:15pm.  There will be snacks and refreshments available to purchase.

Seger park is located next to the Senior Center at 21 Tionda Drive.

Saturday, June 23

Lowe's Build and Grow: Luxury Assault Vehicle

Be sure to register the kids for the Madagascar 3 Luxury Assault Vehicle project. You will want to register here to ensure your child's spot!

Each participant will receive a kit, goggles, apron, project themed patch and a certificate of completion.

Michael's Passport to Imagination: Poland @1pm-4pm

Beavercreek: Kids Fishing Derby @9am-1pm

Bring your fishing poles out for a Kids Fishing Derby at Dominick Lofino Park.  There will be prizes, entertainment and more.  This should be a great time for the entire family.

Fraze Pavilion Blues Fest @1pm

This will be a fun event to listen to music along with trying some of Dayton's Best BBQ available to purchase.

Sugarcreek MetroPark: Try Hiking @9am-11am

Come out and try hiking at the Sugarcreek MetroPark. Volunteers will be stationed to provide information, orientation and answer questions to help you along trying something new.

Wegerzyn Gardens: Dayton Bonsai Show @9:30am-5pm

Check out this free exhibit of a variety of Bonsai Trees.  You will also learn from demonstrations to develop bonsai from nursery plants.  This would be fun to learn something new and maybe have a new hobby!

Sunday, June 24
