Dayton Free Family Events | April 23-April 24, 2011

This is a big weekend full of free events for the entire family.  We have egg hunts, learning how to live green and many more!  Hopefully, the weather will hold out for them all!  Enjoy!

Indian Trails | Easter Egg Hunt: April 23

Kids 5 and under will begin their egg hunt at 10:30am which will give them a chance over the older kids.  Kids 12 and under will begin at noon!  Make sure you bring your baskets to put your eggs.

Party Panda will be there along with some ice-cream.

First Baptist Church of Kettering | Egg Drop: April 23 @ 2pm

They are dropping 45,000 eggs by helicopter over the church’s campus off Swigart Road.  The kids will be broken into age groups for the hunt so everyone will have a chance to find eggs.  I have been to this church for MOPS, and I am sure this will be fun for the entire family!

Marvin’s Organic Garden | Think Green 2011: April 23 @ 12pm-6pm

Marvin’s Organic Garden has a free event this Saturday to help us learn simple ways to be more Green.  They have alot planned throughout the day for the entire family.  It will be held rain or shine.  You can check out my post for all the details!

Michael’s The Knack | Easter Card Make It Take It:  April 23 @ 10am-12pm

This is a free event for kids ages 3 and up.  They will be creating their own Easter cards using stamps.  You may want to come out early because it is while supplies last so you little one will be able to make their creation.

Lowe’s Build and Grow | Window Birdhouse: April 23 @ 10am-12pm

Bring out the kids to build a home for the birds that live near your house.  This will bring hours of excitement as the birds fly in and out of their new home throughout the Spring and Summer months.

Each participant will get the kit, goggles, apron, project themed patch and Certificate of Merit once the project is completed.  Make sure you register the kids at Lowe’s to ensure their spot this Saturday.

Young’s Jersey Dairy | 29th Annual Easter Egg Hunt: April 24 @ 2pm

They will have 4,000 hard boiled eggs for the kids to find.  They will break the kids into the following age groups:

  • 2pm-4 and under
  • 2:15pm 5-7
  • 2:30pm 8-10

Make sure you arrive between 10- 15 minutes prior to your child’s start time so they can line up with their group.  Bring your cameras to have the kids picture taken with Barnabe their Mascot.

This event will be held rain or shine and even snow!
