Dayton Free Events | October 22

Here are some free events and Family Fall Fun that is going on in the Dayton Area this weekend. What will you choose?

Lowe's Build and Grow: Monster Truck @ 10am-12pm

Come out and build a “Monster Truck”.  This is a free event but you will need to register online for your local Lowe's store to ensure that there is a spot for your child.My son loves Monster Trucks so we may have to check this one out!

Each participant will receive the kit, goggles, apron, project themed patch and a certificate of merit upon completion of the product.

Dorothy Lane Market: Gluten Free Event @11am-4pm

This is a free event held at the Washington Square Location to help with living your life Gluten Free.  Some highlights include:

  • Seminars held in Cooking School
  • Taste Gluten Free Foods from DLM
  • Sample from local Vendors AllerEnergy, Sinfully Gluten Free and Tina’s Sweet Treats
  • Wellness Exhibitors & More

Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Parks & Recreation: Halloween in the Park @2:30pm-6:30pm

This free event will be held at Sackett Wright Park and will be fun for the entire family.  Highlights will include this fun fall activities:

  • Merlin the Magician 2:45pm-3:30pm
  • Glen Helen Raptor Center will be 3:30pm-4pm
  • Spooky Tales
  • “T-Birds of S.W. Ohio” car display
  • Free wagon rides to the pumpkin patch
  • Face painting
  • Live Music
  • Contests for costumes, pumpkin decorating and scarecrow displays

The Greene: Kids Fest @12pm-3pm

This is fun for the entire family including the family dog. Bring the dog out decked out in costume to participate in the Bow Bow Ween Pet Parade.  You can begin to register at 12:30 for the parade beginning at 1:15.

Sidney: Kids Fest @10am-1pm

It will be held downtown and fun for the entire family!  This free kids festival will include:

  • Costume Judging
  • Trick or Treating at Downtown Businesses
  • Free Activities at Amos Memorial Library

Downtown Miamisburg: Sweet or Treat Night @6pm-8pm

Bring kids ages 12 and under to Downtown Miamisburg to go Trick or Treating at the businesses.  My sister has taken her kids in years past and they have had a blast.  We may have to check it out this year.
