As everyone in the Cincinnati Area knows, we have the privilege of hosting this year’s World Choir Games. With all the anticipation, it’s exciting to know the Games are finally here! The opening ceremony takes place tomorrow July 4th!
Months ago my husband suggested that our daughter would appreciate a concert…which of course got my wheels turning on how we could find a deal or even a Free concert! While there are still tickets available for many of the competitions, there are also daily Free Concerts and Events all over town from Thursday July 5 thru Friday July 13 performed by World Choir Game participants.
Without further ado, here is a schedule of the Free Events for the World Choir Games 2012!
Celebration of Nations
Come down to the Duke Energy Convention Center on Tuesday July 10 at 6pm. Parade through Downtown Cincinnati, from Duke Energy Convention Center to Fountain Square. Bootsy Collins and Mayor Mark Mallory serve as Grand Marshals. The parade will be followed by a Free party on Fountain Square.
Global Village Choral Events
Take the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear choirs the world over sing live. Choirs include numerous locations from all over the USA and also Belgium, Colombia, Hong Kong, China, South Africa, Austria, Denmark, Germany and Poland.
