Weekend Events | Art Museum’s First Saturday, Cincitarod, Michael’s + More!

Cincinnati Art Museum: It’s a Circus Here!, 3/5 from 1-4pm

It’s the beginning of March and that means it’s time for Family First Saturday at the Cincinnati Art Museum.  Enjoy circus activities like clowning lessons and the art of magic.  Plus storytelling, scavenger hunts and hands-on activities. Admission is free.

Fountain Square: New Horizons Cinciditarod, 3/5 at 10pm

Imagine something similar to the Alaskan Iditarod but also very different! Participants will race nearly 5 miles through downtown, picking up items on a grocery list while physically attached to a grocery cart.  This may resemble something you’ve seen in a grocery store during a really good sale. LOL! Cheer teams on and enjoy the excitement with a party on Fountain Square.

Michael’s: Make & Take Events, 3/4 & 3/5

Michael’s is a great place to find supplies for your projects and a great place to find project ideas too!  There are 2 Make & Take Events happening this weekend.

  1. Saturday 3/4 from 10am-noon: Free Make It, Take-It Ribbon Flower and Custom Invitations Demo.
  2. Sunday 3/5 from 1-3pm: Fine Art Make-It, Take-It.  Those 12 and older can paint their own personal masterpiece with the purchase of a fine art canvas.

Home Depot Kids Workshop: #20 Race Car, 3/5 from 9am-12pm

Take the kids to Home Depot this Saturday to build a #20 Race Car. Each participant will receive the project materials, a kid sized orange apron and an achievement pin.
