Weekend Events | Patriot Flag Parade, Space Day + More!

Patriot Flag, Bridgewater Falls, 5/22 1-4pm

The Patriot Flag is making it’s way across country to pay tribute American Heroes of the September 11th attacks. The flag will arrive at Bridgewater Falls via a parade on Sunday. The parade route will begin at the fire station on Morris & Princeton roads and head through the Lakewood subdivision to Bridgewater Falls. Enjoy live music and other events as the flag is raised into position.

Space Day, iSpace @ Scarlet Oaks, 5/21 10am-2pm

Space lovers of all ages can enjoy many hands-on “Space Stations” at Space Day.  The event is Free for all!

Just a few of the days activities include:

  • Ride a Hovercraft
  • Try on a Space Suit
  • Touch a Meteorite
  • Launch a Rocket
  • Fly a Blimp

Adventures Around Cincinnati, Author Event at Barnes & Noble 5/21 2pm

Meet and talk with the authors of Adventures Around Cincinnati, Laura Hoevener & Terri Weeks.  Learn about all kinds of things to do together as a family right here in Cincinnati.  Event takes place at Barnes & Noble on Fields Ertel Rd.

Kids Food Safari, Whole Foods Market 5/21 2-4pm

Kids can pick up a passport at customer service then visit 6 locations throughout the store.  Have the passport stamped at each stop. Turn in completed cards for a goodie bag.  Face painting & crafts will be available too!

Civil War Weekend, Heritage Village Museum, 5/20 & 5/21

History buffs can enjoy a Civil War Weekend at the Heritage Village Museum this weekend.  The museum is located in Sharon Woods.  A Civil War re-enactment will take place both days at 2pm.  See what camp and village life were like during that time period.  Admission is $7 per adult and $4 for children ages 5-11.  Children under 4 are Free.
