Cincinnati Reds Opening Day is Almost Here ~ Play Ball!!

Opening Day in Cincinnati is a pretty big deal!  This year the Cincinnati Reds are starting the season with a game against the Milwaukee Brewers at Great American Ballpark on Thursday, March 31st.

The festivities begin long before the first pitch is thrown though.  I am so excited that Opening Day and my kids spring break coincide this year.  While we don’t have tickets to the game, we are looking forward to some fun at Findlay Market and of course watching the Opening Day Parade.

The parade starts at 11 am at Findlay Market.  It heads South on Race Street then East on Fifth Street to Sycamore.  It’s been a several years since we went to the parade but I remember how much fun my boys had seeing the parade participants getting ready to go.

My older 2 boys posing for a picture before the 2004 parade. Wow ~ They are so little!

Businesses all over town and especially downtown will be offering special Opening Day deals.  Many downtown restaurants will be opening early.  Downtown Cincinnati Inc has a great list of the downtown merchants with Special Opening Day promotions.

What are your Opening Day plans?

Just so you know, skyline is offering one free cheese coney tomorrow. I beleive you may have to purchase something but still it’s free! I’ve checked a couple online sites and for some reason everyone is missing the skyline deal for tomorrow!

    Just want to share! Thanks!
