Menu Plan Monday | July 25

Here’s what we’re having for dinner this week. What’s on your plan?

Monday: Shredded BBQ Beef Sandwiches, Grilled Zucchini & Homemade French Fries

A beef roast slow cooked in the crock pot, shredded and then mixed with BBQ sauce will make a few meals for the freezer.  The one way (besides in bread) that my family will all eat the growing mountain of zucchini on my counter is grilled.  Homemade french fries are always a hit!

Tuesday: Chicken Taco Salad

I’m not sure if my boys asked for this meal because they really like to eat it or if it’s because they have fun crushing the chips or both! We crush chips (tortilla or Doritos) in the bottom of a bowl and then layer all the taco salad toppings on top.

Wednesday: Picnic Dinner at Jammin’ in July

The Menus are playing at Bridgewater Falls Jammin’ in July on Wednesday.  We all have a good time listening to them and have fun with all the costume changes the lead singer does.  A picnic of chicken salad, cucumbers from the garden, pretzels and brownies will be dinner before the concert.

Thursday: Breakfast for Dinner ~ Omelets!

Made to order omelets make everyone happy!  Just like taco nights and stuffed baked potato nights, I’ll have multiple ingredients ready for each person to choose from to fill their omelet.

Friday: Homemade Pizza

It’s our weekly homemade pizza night!  Last week we had BBQ chicken pizza and the few weeks before that it was more traditional pepperoni pizzas.  Does your family have a favorite non-traditional pizza we might like to try?

Saturday: Grilling or Going Out with Friends

I’m not sure of our dinner plans for Saturday night.  I have a kind of big birthday coming up next week (the one with a 4 and an 0!) and apparently I’m being kidnapped by a friend. All I know is that we are going to get pedicures.  There was talk of an evening by a neighbors pool after that.  I guess I’ll find out as the plans happen.

Sunday: Family Picnic

I mixed up the dates when I put this picnic on last week’s menu plan.  It really is this week instead.  We’re taking our own meat for the grill and a side dish to share.  I’m kind of tired of the sides I usually take to picnics and I’m looking for a new idea.  What are your favorites?

If you menu plan,do you do it on a weekly or monthly basis?
