Menu Plan Monday | January 3rd

This is the plan for dinners at our house this week.  What’s on your plan?

Monday: Beef Vegetable Soup & Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
We had neighbors over for dinner on Saturday so I made a extra large batch of this soup. I guess I made more than I thought!  No problem since we will have one hour in between one boy’s play practice and another boy’s basketball practice.  Leftover soup will be great for this busy night!

Tuesday: Larosa’s for Spaghetti A Plenty
Dinner for all 5 of us for under $20 sounds like a plan after the boys karate class. Check out other Kids Eat Free (or nearly Free) deals.

Wednesday: Waffles, Sausage & Fruit
My boys have been asking for waffles for some time now.  I started to make them on Sunday morning until I pulled an empty flour container from my cabinet.  It’s time for a well planned, stock-up grocery trip this week.

Thursday: Shepherd’s Pie
I browned extra ground beef and chopped some extra veggies when I made Beef Vegetable Soup on Saturday.  I made extra mashed potatoes with Sunday’s dinner and now the Shepherd’s Pie is in the freezer.  I love to combine ingredients from different meals to cook ahead for the week.

Friday: Taco Bar
Friday’s mean I run one way while my hubby goes another as we have 2 boys with basketball practice at the same time.  Tacos will be an easy eat & run meal.

Saturday: Homemade Pizza
With chicken breasts on sale at Meijer for $1.79/pound, I’m thinking this will be a BBQ Chicken Pizza. I ‘ll dice or shred extra chicken to have one step of a future meal in the freezer too. Find other Meijer Deals for the week to help plan your grocery trip.

Sunday: Pork Roast, Sauerkraut & Mashed Potatoes
I’ll be using my crock pot for this dinner.  A slow cooked pork loin with sauerkraut served over mashed potatoes sounds awesome! (My boys may not agree.)  Pork Loin is priced at $1.79/pound at Meijer this week.
