Menu Plan Monday | May 16th

Here's what we're having for dinner this week. What's on your plan?

Monday: Noodles & Company

I just discovered a $25 Noodles & Company gift card that has been in my desk for months.  It's very unusual for a gift card to hang around our house this long.  What are your favorite kind of noodles ~ Asian, Italian or American??

Tuesday: Delicious Ham & Potato Soup

I thought we were done with soup weather.  Last week our air conditioning was on.  This week the heat may come back on.  Classic Cincinnati weather, right??

Wednesday: Shredded Chicken Nachos

Chicken breasts slow cooked with a jar of salsa then shredded is perfect to top a pile of nachos.  With lots of cheese and other toppings too of course!  Plus some extra shredded chicken for the freezer will help make a future dinner easier too.

Thursday: Pineapple Pork Chops, Broccoli & Rice

We've tried this recipe now with both chicken and pork chops.  While it's pretty good with chicken, it's great with pork!

Friday: Homemade Pizza

Pizza before baseball or after baseball with a family movie?  That is the question and one that will probably remain unanswered until the last minute on Friday.

Saturday: Taking Guacamole & Chips to a Birthday Party

My sister is celebrating her birthday plus another little accomplishment ~ Finishing Medical School!!  I'm so proud of her and will miss her dearly when she moves to do her residency far, far away at the end of the month.

Sunday: Slow Cooker Pork Tacos

Sunday is going to be an early morning for us as we head to find out what a karate tournament is all about.  A friend sent me this recipe awhile ago.  I'm finally going to try it!  Boneless Pork Loins are on sale for $1.99/pound at Jungle Jim's this week. So that help too!  The recipe suggests mango as a taco topping.  I've never had mango but it sounds like something different to try.

If you menu plan,do you do it on a weekly or monthly basis?
