Cincinnati Zoo: Tunes & Blooms Free Concerts

Every Thursday in April the Cincinnati Zoo will be hosting Tunes & Blooms. Enjoy live music and the thousands of tulips in every color. We went to the Zoo one Thursday evening last year.  It was a perfect kid friendly grown-up night out! I’m looking forward to to going again this Thursday with friends and family.

Admission to the Cincinnati Zoo is Free after 5pm. Some but not all of the zoo exhibits will be open during the concerts. Bands will play from 6 – 8:30 pm rain or shine. Pack a picnic dinner to enjoy during the concert. Parking is $8 unless you have a zoo membership with parking and then it’s Free.

The bands scheduled to play this year are:

  • April 5th – The Newbies & The Seedy Seeds
  • April 12th – Comet Bluegrass All Stars & Magnolia Mountain
  • April 19th – Shiny and the Spoon & The Tillers
  • April 26th – Jake Speed and the Freddies & The Turkeys

Our mild Winter and early Spring mean that the flowers at the Zoo (and everywhere else) are blooming earlier than usual.  If you plan to see the tulips and more at the Zoo, be sure to go soon!
