October is Family History Month at the Cincinnati Public Library. Several events take place this Saturday October 6 at the Main Library branch downtown. There are also opportunities to learn how to start genealogical research for you own family throughout the month.

This Saturday October 6, 2012 at the Main Library branch:

• 10am & 12pm Tour the Genealogy and Local History Department
• 11am Learn online strategies to research your Family Civil War History
• 12pm-2pm Individual consultation to help you find a lost ancestor
• 2pm Presentation of the life of General William Haines Lytle

Introduction to genealogy and family research will be presented at library locations around the city on these dates:

• Mon Oct 8, 7pm at Symmes Township Branch
• Mon Oct 15, 6pm at Covedale Branch
• Sat Oct 20, 2pm at Groesbeck Branch
• Mon Oct 22, 6pm at Miami Township Branch
