Newport: 21st Annual Italianfest
The 21st Annual Newport Italianfest takes place on Riverboat Row in Newport along the Ohio River by the Purple People Bridge. The Festival will feature music from the East Coast all the way to Chicago. Of course there will be Italian food as well featuring such restaurants as DiStasi’s, Raniero’s, Pompilio’s and more! Hours are Friday 5pm-11pm; Saturday 12pm-11pm; Sunday 12pm-9pm.
Hidden Valley Fruit Farm: Strawberry Spectacular
The Strawberry Spectacular features fresh strawberries, strawberry shortcake, chocolate covered strawberries, kids train rides, barnyard animals, pies, sundaes, live music and more! Nothing tastes quite as delightful to the taste buds as fresh-picked strawberries – Yum!

Wal-Mart: The Amazing Spider-Man Secrets Unmasked Truck Tour
This Family-friendly truck tour promises to turn parking lots into playgrounds of interactive features. The truck offers an interactive experience with videogames, a Spidey climbing wall, pictures and giveaways. The schedule for the Tri-state includes:
Cincinnati Museum Center: Free Friday 4pm-8pm
Tonight is the first Free Friday of the season at the Cincinnati Museum Center! You can visit Duke Energy Children’s Museum, the Museum of Natural History & Science and/or the Cincinnati History Museum Free of charge!
Parking is $4 after 4:30 and $6 before 4:30.
Fountain Square: Midpoint Indie Summer Series 7pm-11pm
Come down to the Square and enjoy Free Live Music tonight! The weather is great. This promises to be fun for the whole family!
Miami Whitewater Forest: Cincinnati Pops Orchestra Summer in the Parks 7:30pm
An endowment fund from the National Endowment of the Arts makes this concert possible. The Orchestra will perform entertaining hits from Broadway and the big screen, American anthems and the catchiest tunes from orchestral repertoire in these concerts designed to delight audiences of all ages. Pops Conductor John Morris Russell conducts tonight’s Concert in the Park.
Joseph Beth: Kids Father’s Day Craft 2pm-4pm
Joseph Beth Booksellers in Cincinnati and Crestview Hills is having a Kids Father Day Craft on Saturday. Come anytime between 2pm-4pm. This craft is bound to be fun, it’s a “coupon book” for Dad that they kids can decorate and write redeemable coupons, such as, “Good for one hug” or “I’ll clean my room!” More than that, this craft is actually a Moneymaker! Craft supplies will cost $5, but the craft includes a $10 gift card to the store, as well as, a B1G1 Entree at the Bronte Bistro attached to the bookstore!

Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinic: Madagascar 3 Monkey Powered Plane 10am
Kids can build their own Madagascar 3 Monkey Powered Plane at the Lowe’s Build & Grow Clinic this Saturday. All project materials plus an apron, goggles, a project themed patch and a certificate of merit will be Free for each participant. Register online to reserve your spot!
Warren County Festival of the Arts 10am-5pm
An event for the whole family, the festival is an eclectic and vibrant presentation in which to experience all aspects of The Arts – fine art, fine crafts, entertainment, children’s activities and more! The Festival takes place at Mulberry St, Main and Broadways streets in Lebanon. It will exhibit more than 50 juried artists and artisans, including paintings, textiles, pottery, jewelry, sculpture, dolls, glass, woodwork, tile, photographs and more.
OTR: Second Sunday on Main 12pm-5pm
The 2012 Second Sunday on Main in OTR begins this Sunday. Second Sundays on Main promises live band performances, artists and vendors showing and selling their wares, beer, food and Celebrity Chef demos. This Sunday fetaures Free Celebrity Chef and Wine Pairing beginning at 2:00pm in Japp’s Annex (two doors north of Japp’s at 1134 Main). Doors open at 1:30pm.
Stroll up and down Main, visit the shops and enjoy a day of fun in the neighborhood. The event is dog, bike and kid friendly.
Wear your old, closed toe shoes and join a naturalist at the Locust Dell Picnic area at 2:00 on Sunday. Venture down the ancient limestone creekbed to find geological discoveries and wildlife as well.
If you venture to Winton Woods, be sure to visit the newly opened Harper Meadows playground.
