Fountain Square partners with the MidPoint Music Festival on Friday nights to offer Free previews of local, regional and national indie bands. Come downtown to enjoy the Free live show.
The Harrison Recreation Commission hosts a showing of the movie Cars 2 tonight at sunset. Come early because LaRosa’s will offer Free pizza, popcorn, sno-cones and water while supplies last. Bring a blanket or chairs and come behind the garages at the Community Center on 300 George St. to see the show.
In anticipation of Disney/Pixar’s movie Brave coming out soon Scotland is visiting Cincinnati this Saturday so families can take part in the Highland Games at Smale Riverfront Park! This Free event looks like a blast! You and your family can take part in family-friendly versions of classic games like archery, sheaf toss, caber toss and hammer throw. Prizes, including advanced screening passes to the film will be given out!
Bring the entire family down for the Finish Line Festival of Loveland’s Amazing Race in Nisbet Park this Saturday. You don’t have to participate in the race to participate in the fun festival! There will be food, music and fun for all!
Madcap Puppets will present Rumpelstilskin at the Lawrenceburg Public Library in Lawrenceburg, IN this Saturday. Bring the kids out for the show. We have always thoroughly enjoyed Mapcap Puppet performances!
The Miami Valley Freedomfest is Free and open to the public. The all day festival promises music, games, food, prizes and entertainment! One big event of the day is the Free Kid’s Fishing Derby at Smith Park Lake. Bring your own tackle; prizes and awards will be given in 4 age groups. A Biker Blessing and Freedom Ride benefitting the Blue Star Moms of Dayton, OH is another mainstay of the day. Bands will be playing all day, including My Brother’s Keeper, Crusader and Reece Lincoln Band.
Come to your local Toys R Us this Saturday to create a Batman or Superman shield with Lego bricks. Take the shield home Free!
Madcap Puppets will present Rumpelstilskin at Boone Woods County Park in Burlington, KY this Saturday. Bring the kids out for the show. Hop over to Walton Community Park after the show to catch the movie The Muppets as part of Boone County’s Movies in the Park.

Admission and parking is Free to the Taft Museum on Sunday. Families may take self-guided tours of art. Stop by the Art Cart to make an architectural arch together. In the studio children can make a pocket notebook for themselves or as a gift for Dad! In the garden families may putt on the green with mini-golf sets.
Also, Mr. Redlegs will make an appearance between 1pm-2pm and Wump Mucket Puppets will put on shows at 3pm and 4pm!
Enjoy the music of Missy Werner Band for Free at Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park and Musueum in Hamilton, OH this Sunday. Missy is a local native bluegrass singer with a spectacular band of bluegrass musicians. This concert is sure to be a delight.
