Homemade All-Purpose Cleaner
I have had a struggle with buying chemical cleaners from the store that work great, but leave behind toxic chemicals in my house where we live. Of course, I want and need something that is effective but just don’t want all of the chemicals.

So many homemade cleaner recipes disinfect but don’t seem to clean well enough for my liking.  Well, this recipe is truly the perfect all-purpose cleaner. Inexpensive, effective, and it smells pretty good too – a triple threat!

All-Purpose Cleaner Ingredients

  • 12 cups, Hot Water
  • 1 cup, Alcohol
  • 2 cups, Vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp, Dawn (blue only)
  • 2 Tbsp, Borax
  • 2-3 Orange Peels
  • Orange or Lemon Essential Oils (buy here)

All-Purpose Cleaner Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a gallon container and that’s it!

I used an old vinegar container for a large batch, and transfer to a smaller spray bottle for use. When the mixture gets low I just add more alcohol, vinegar, water and borax to the orange peels and let them sit while I use my spray bottle.

While the all-purpose cleaner does have a strong alcohol and vinegar smell, they do fade shortly after mixture dries. Use this all purpose cleaner for counters, sinks, cabinets, outside of toilet, etc.
