Homemade Coffee Creamer Recipe

Love the flavor? But hate the mile long list of trans fats and other unnecessary ingredients? Try this sweet, creamy and decadent homemade version. Not only is it delicious and better for you, you can create flavors that ID only dreams of.

Make several batches and create a few flavors for variety in your daily cup. This would make a lovely hostess gift especially in a pretty mason jar, maybe topped with a little burlap and a pretty ribbon? Perfect for topping off a cup of coffee to enjoy with dessert. Wouldn’t it be fun to make a coffee bar at your next party to serve up with several of your own flavors?

Homemade Coffee Creamer Ingredients

  • 14 ounce can, Sweetened Condensed Milk*
  • Small carton, Half and Half
  • Mason Jar (quart size)

* You can use fat free sweetened condensed milk to cut down on the fat.

Homemade Coffee Creamer Directions

  1. Pour entire can of sweetened condensed milk into mason jar and add liquid extracts.
  2. Fill jar to about 2” from top with half and half.
  3. Mix very well with a whisk until all is combined.
  4. Fill jar the rest of the way with half and half.
  5. Store in refrigerator.

This will keep nicely for about 2 weeks. But mine never lasts longer than a week since I drink several cups a day. You will need to give this a couple of good shakes before each use to remix.

Well, I can’t use the sweetened condensed milk because I’m watching my carbs but I do have several flavors of sugar free coffee syrups and your recipes gave me some really great ideas on blending them with heavy cream and extracts to make some delicious coffee creamer! Thanks SO VERY MUCH! ☕

Ashleigh, so glad it was helpful! I plan on using coconut milk as a substitute as well which would definitely help keep the carbs lower too.

Can this be frozen? A qt of this would last me a very long time!
