DIY Dryer Lint Fire Starters Directions

  1. Stuff the dryer lint into the toilet paper roll. Pack it in there well, because the more you can fit the more powerful it will be. Continue stuffing until the roll is full.
  2. Place the toilet paper roll on the piece of scrap paper and start rolling it up. Twist the ends to secure the paper on the roll. You can even add a piece of tape if you wish to make sure the paper is really secure.
  3. Now just tie the ends of the roll with some string. We just made a simple knot, pulling tightly and it held the starter together well.

Your fire starter is now all ready for use. Simply light one of the ends of the starter and place it in your fireplace. Some people like to tuck them in between the logs while others like to light them and set them directly on top of the wood pile. Either way, the lint will ignite quickly and give your fire a fantastic head start!

Gather your supplies and try giving this simple DIY fire starter project a try. The snow isn't going anywhere anytime soon here!
