Copy Cat Fried Rice Recipe

Copycat Chinese Fried Rice Recipe

Do you have your favorite Chinese restaurant that at least once a month or so, you either eat in or take out?  Well, I created this Copycat Fried Rice recipe because I love fried rice so much.  It is a fast and a nutritious meal, especially if you use brown rice.

This rice tastes as good as any take out that you will ever find.  Make extra and use it all week in burritos, meatloaf recipes, tacos, or almost anything you want.

It is one of those one pot wonders that you will never get enough of.   Try it tonight.  If you want this as a main dish, just add cooked chicken or pork.

Copycat Fried Rice Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp, Vegetable Oil
  • 2 cups, Minute White (Brown) Rice (uncooked)
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup, Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup, Frozen Vegetables (peas and carrots)
  • 3 tbsp, Soy Sauce
  • 1 cup, Cooked Chicken

Copy Cat Fried Rice Instructions

{Step 2} Add Minute Rice and brown slightly.

{Step 3} Add eggs and scramble until cooked through.

{Step 4} Add broth, vegetables, and soy sauce to the skillet and bring to a boil.

{Step 5} Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.

This recipe if fool proof and the taste is better than what you can get at the take out.  I served it up with a Jack Daniels Salmon and steam fresh vegetables. A very hearty meal.

Hi! I don’t boil the rice first? I just add uncooked rice to skillet?
