Make the Most of Your Meat

The following Everyday Savings Tip comes from, Beth:

A lot of hamburger or ground turkey comes in packs of 1.2 lbs. So, when I make a recipe that calls for 1 lb. of meat, I take the other .2 lbs and make 1 or 2 small hamburgers and freeze them for another day that week.

I also did this recently with salmon patties as some usually go to waste. I took 2 of them and froze them and used for another day and that way I cook less and don’t waste food. This works great for small families (there are only two in my household).
