Create New Look by Spray Painting Chandelier DIY

I have been looking for a chandelier for my daughters' room ever since I found out I was pregnant with a girl which was about 5 years ago! I am obsessed with Freecycle.com and was able to find this chandelier for free and it works perfectly! Here is a great way to create a new look with any light fixture by using a can of spray paint.

Spray Painted Chandelier Supplies

:: Black Spray Paint
:: Lamp/Chandelier

DIY Steps

{Step 1} Clean the lamp with damp cloth and remove the bulbs.

{Step 2} Lightly spray paint the light fixture.  It will take about 3 coats but be sure to let the paint dry between applications.

{Step 3} Hang and enjoy in any room that needs a new look!

 Project Cost

This amazing lamp was free from Freecyle.com but you can use any fixture that you already have or purchase at a garage sale.  I found the spray paint at my local hardware store for only $0.97! However you can find them around $3 if they are not on sale.  It is amazing how much a can of spray paint can add life to a light fixture that you do not love!
