Tip: Use Storage Container Lid to Keep Floors Clean from Wet Shoes

We use storage containers for everything in our home and have a few lidless ones in the garage for outdoor toys. Here is a tip for the lid to keep your floors clean from wet/muddy shoes.

Supplies

:: Any Storage Container lid (at least 18 gallon)

DIY Steps

{Step 1} Place the lid near any door to store shoes on wet rain or snowy days.  This will help keep floors clean from rain, snow or mud.

Project Cost

This tip will not cost you anything if you have some extra storage lids hanging around the house.

However, if you need to purchase the storage container, you can find the best deals during back to school and during the Christmas/New Year Season. You can expect to spend between $4-$10 depending on the size of the container.

I think you will find it more effective to turn the lid upside down. It will hold more liquid and is easier to carry to a sink or outside to empty it.
