Great Tip to Store Small Open Bags in Pantry

My family goes through chocolate chips like they are going out of style. The bag usually is left open in the pantry from all the nibbles and spills which drive me crazy. I found this cute idea and this would work for any small bags that get thrown in the pantry.

Small Open Bag Storage Container Supplies

:: Scissors
:: Partially used bag of Chocolate Chips
:: 2 Liter Bottle

DIY Steps

{Step 1} Cut the “head” off of the 2 liter bottle. I cut the top off about 4″ down from the spout. I did this so I could accommodate bigger bags of chocolate chips in the future.

{Step 2} Take the lid off of the bottle and pull the empty end of the bag through the hole until you reach the chocolate chips. My bag was about 1/3 the way full. Feel free to cut off the massive excess once pulled through.

{Step 3} Fold back the end onto the outside of the bottle and screw on the lid.

Your chocolate chips will com out with ease and stay fresh for a lot longer!

Project Cost

This project will not cost you anything and it will keep your pantry clean from little nibbles of food. Not to mention, it is so easy to make!  You can get a 2-Liter for less than $1 with a great sale.  You can use this idea for chocolate chips, rice, small bags of chips and more.
