Get More for Your Money on Soft Drinks at Restaurants

Occasionally, I go to a restaurant that does not give free refills. I tried this several times at a local dinner theatre (not a restaurant but same idea). They don't offer free refills on soft drinks. To save, I order my drink with no ice. The drink is usually cold anyway and if it isn't cold enough I just ask for a cup of ice later. They never say anything and I get a lot more for my money that way.
