Cut the High Value Coupons

The following Everyday Savings Tip comes from, Krista:

When you are cutting out your coupons, make sure you include the high value ones even if you don’t think you will use them. For example, we don’t use Nivea products. However, the coupon was for $2 off of one product, so I went ahead and cut it out. About 3 weeks later I was in the grocery store and while walking down the bath/soap aisle, I found Nivea bath/shower gel on clearance. With the coupon I only paid 49 cents!!

I also always make sure that I hit the clearance area of the grocery store to see if I can pair a marked down item with a coupon. Several times I have scored on beauty items getting Cover Girl Mascara for 75 cents, Burt’s Bees items for 25 cents, and school supplies for less than $1.

Cutting the extra coupons may take a little more time, but in the end you can score some pretty good items!
