Price Match to Save Time and Money

The following Everyday Savings Tip comes from, Jeanne:

I do most of my shopping at Walmart. Their price matching saves me trips to other stores to get deals. I saved $3 dollars on a large can of coffee last week and saved myself a trip to another store for just one item.

Do you price match at Walmart or other stores?

  1. I used to love walmart but since they changed their coupon policy I no longer shop there. They don’t take free coupons (not even newspaper coupons or ones that you get in the mail from the manufactuer) and they don’t accept half my coupons from coupons.com. They make me feel like a thief when they say these are fraudulent and everybody looks at you as ifyou are trying to pass fake coupons. I used them at Kroger and Target with no problem. I guess this only happens in Arkansas stores as nobody says it happens to them in other states.

  2. Hey Patricia,

Over the holidays, I used several “free” coupons at Walmart …. no problem.
I’ve never had any problem with any manufacturer or printed ones either.
Maybe it’s just your area (I’m in Georgia).

Thanks for the heads up on “price matching”. I won’t be going to “two and three” stores in the future (although I absolutely love my Publix).

    1. Thank you for telling me that. I guess it is only in Arkansas. It is frustrating when they tell you you can’t use a free coupon, I even went to the manager and she says it is not allowed. Kroger can accept free coupons because they are a littler store she said. Because of extreme couponing Walmart would not be accepting free coupons anymore she told me. None of them she said.
