How to Do a “Free” Pantry Stock-Up!

The following Best Savings Tip comes from reader, Katharina:

I have been doing my free grocery stock-ups for years. My pantry is very happy when this happens. :-)

  1. First I clip and print all the coupons I can possibly use in my grocery store.
  2. I shop at a store that gives double value on coupons.
  3. I match coupons to weekly sales.

I'm sure many people already do those things, but here's where the different part comes in:

Each time I grocery shop, I put the amount of money I saved with coupons aside. It's my “Pantry Stock-Up Fund.” It truly adds up quickly. When I have a certain amount saved (usually around $100) I take it and stock the pantry. It's like free groceries and I use tons of coupons on that stock-up trip, too, to start the “savings jar” all over again.
