Homemade Taco Seasoning Recipe

Homemade Taco Seasoning Recipe

The following Best Savings Tip comes from reader, Sarah:

Our family loves tacos so much that we have taco night every Friday. Packets of taco seasoning at the store cost as much as $1, but I found a recipe for making your own taco seasoning.

Homemade Taco Seasoning Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp, Chili Powder
  • 3 tbsp + 1 tsp, Paprika
  • 3 tbsp, Cumin
  • 1 tbsp + 2 tsp, Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp, Garlic Powder

You can keep it in a plastic container until you are ready to use it. Use about 2 tbsp of the mixture with 3/4 cup water and stir into the meat.

I haven’t calculated the exact savings but I know it saves us money since we eat tacos so much. It is also healthier than what you buy in the packets because there is less salt and additives.
