Weekly Walmart Deals Return!

I have received several emails from readers asking where the Walmart deals/highlights went. We haven’t published anything since December. It’s not because they were forgotten or overlooked. It was truly because I was irritated each time I visited Walmart (the few times I actually visit the store) and had the prices be much higher than what is reported on most blogs.

Turning that frustration into something productive, I did some field research to be able to provide Walmart deals that are priced in my region (Cincinnati). However, I also think they will be similar to many other regions as well so many regions can find the information useful.

With that (and thanks to Amber’s management) we now have a dedicated with everyday prices at Walmart. This page will be updated on a regular basis to add/remove coupons. We will also be updating prices as they change as well (since prices are going up, unfortunately).

What type of Zatarain’s Rice Mix is 22¢ regular price? Is that a typo? I’d be PERFECTLY happy without coupons!

Alicia, I’m pretty sure that was the price! I’ll double check when I’m there though since I added that to a master list a while ago.

I hope you’re right, but they run $1.22 at our stores. I’m just looking at the regular boxed mixes- is there something else?

Alicia, I just visited last week and it’s $1.22 NOT $0.22! We updated the price on the Walmart regular price list. Sorry about that. I’ve had this information for a while and entered it all somewhere and tossed the originals.

Yes! I agree… I was using another blog to get the Walmart deals, but not for long, because it always ended up that with a list of 10-15 items, I would end up getting 3 or 4. This was because they either did not carry the item, or the price was much higher than what it said on the blog. I was always so disappointed. =( I don’t know if prices at Walmart differ that much from store to store or if it is a regional thing. But thanks so much for coming up with a solution! I am in Cincinnati too so hopefully the prices will be the same at my store.

@Sarah … unfortunately, the pricing at walmart stores in Cincinnati vary from location to location. I’m in Mason, and our prices are always higher than what other local bloggers post. Kinda frustrating

Chanin, I’d be interested to see how much higher Mason prices are than what I got. I used the West Chester store as my “guide.” I know some newer stores tend to have higher prices though, which is frustrating.

I started pulling my coupons for the free items (and super cheap ones) and the Garnier one says NO TRIAL SIZES, the White Cloud one says it EXCLUDES 4 PACKS, and the Frigo ones said it must be 10 OZ+ . What gives? Do they not check that at Wal-mart? Could I get away with it?

I did go to wal-mart and the Zatarain’s Rice was $1.22 and the Precise Tylenol products were $5.97 (which I still bought for $.97 but would have loved to have two $2.50 overages).

I go to the Alexandria, KY Wal-mart.

Thanks for double checking! It was $1.22 here- which is quite a bit lower than normal, as it usually runs $1.44+.

All Walmart stores have the ability to set their own prices based on several factors (in the surrounding area), including race, income level, unemployment rate, family status, etc. They take a MUCH more complicated approach on pricing than other stores that set a corporate standard.

I had ordered coupons for the $1 off 1 All Detergent to use at Walmart since the post said they were on sale for $2.38. I did not see where they were that cheap. Did anyone actually find the detergent for that price?

Tracy, it’s the smallest bottle of All detergent that is available. Does your Walmart carry that size?

are these prices good for the week of June 12th? Thank you!!

I was excited to see that you were doing a Walmart list. However, I was like some of the others mentioned …disappointed when I started pulling my coupons and saw that they didnt match-up. Many of them stated no trial size or mentioned a specific size. And then went I went to the store a lot of the prices werent even close to what was listed(which is no fault of yours Andrea). I was real disappointed on the Tylenol Precise …you have it listed as selling for $2.50 and it was $6.27!! That was a huge difference. Needless to say, not a MM anymore. :-(
I look forward to future Walmart lists, I just hope it is a little more accurate. Thanks for all your hard work. And I DO love your site!

Brenda, I’m gonna have to go on another “research” trip to verify some prices again. I got most of these prices last year and we are just now finding time to maintain the list. I know prices have gone up on products but not by $4 that’s for sure! Thanks for the feedback though. We need to either make sure the list works for a large majority or not waste the time (both yours and ours).
