Walgreens is beginning a new rebate program starting tomorrow, and I wanted to give you a little bit of an introduction to it.  If you have been couponing for awhile, this program is very similar to the easy saver rebates that they offered a few years ago.

Basically, each month Walgreens will offer rebates on select items in the store.  They will be publishing this information both online ^[1] and in store (look near the ads and IVC booklets).

After you purchase the items and you are ready to submit for your rebate, you can do so online ^[1] or via the paper form ^[2] found in the rebate booklets. You will need your receipt information to submit for the rebates.

You have a few choices as to how you would like to receive your rebate.  Here are the options available:

1. Walgreens Gift Card – Receive a 10% bonus when you choose this option!  There are no fees associated with this option and you can load your rebates each month to the same card.
2. Walgreens Prepaid Card – This is available as an option when your rewards total $10 or more, and can be used anywhere a Visa Debit is accepted, including the internet.  You can not use this card to withdraw money from a bank ATM.  There is also a $3 maintenance fee each month on this card, but is waived for the first 12 months.
3. Rebate Check – This paper check will be mailed to the address you submit on your rebate form.  Allow 8-10 weeks for the check to arrive.
4. Paypal – You can also choose to have your rebate directly deposited into your Paypal account.
